Things to Do

While we won't be organizing daily activities for our guests, we hope to share special moments with you during your stay! Whether it's sipping coffee, enjoying drinks by the pool, or joining us for island adventures, we can't wait to make unforgettable memories together in paradise. Here are few suggestions to make the most of your stay:

Paddleboard Wailua River with Kauai SUP

One of Kauai’s most enchanting spots, the Wailua River was once home to ancient Hawaiian royalty and is now an adventurer’s paradise. It’s the only navigable river in Hawaii, winding through waterfalls, lava rock grottos, and lush jungle landscapes.

For a memorable experience, try stand-up paddleboarding along the river’s calm, wide waters—perfect for all skill levels. Kauai SUP offers top-notch rentals, letting you explore in style. Plan for 3.5 to 6 hours, depending on how much you want to see!

North Fork: This route leads to a trailhead for Secret Falls, a stunning and popular waterfall adventure. (Recommend water shoes, or a hybrid hiking tennis shoe for the trail which can be muddy and walking through shallow parts of the river)

South Fork: Discover the Fern Grotto and The Swimming Hole, both beautiful and serene spots to enjoy along the river.

If you’re up for it, you can visit all these sites in one day or pick just one or two. Feel free to plan your own route, or check in with us—we’re hoping to do the full 6-hour adventure and would love to have you join!

If Kauai SUP reservations are full, you can find other rental companies near Kapaa. Or if you rather kayak, then check this out.

Snorkeling in Kauai

Kauai has some amazing snorkeling spots that allow you to explore vibrant marine life and coral reefs. Here are a few of our favorite spots:

Tunnels Beach (Makua Beach): Located on the north shore, Tunnels Beach is a favorite snorkeling spot known for its crystal-clear waters and large coral formations. You might spot sea turtles and a variety of colorful fish here. The beach can be a bit rocky, so water shoes are a good idea!

Poipu Beach Park: This south shore beach is great for families and beginners, with gentle waves and a reef that attracts all kinds of marine life. Poipu is also generally sunnier in November, which means good visibility for snorkeling.

Anini Beach: Known for its calm, shallow waters, Anini Beach on the north shore is another excellent snorkeling spot. Its long reef provides protection from strong waves, making it ideal for all skill levels.

Lydgate Beach Park: Located on the east shore, Lydgate has a protected lagoon area that’s perfect for beginners or families with young kids. The calm waters make it easy to see fish close to shore.

Ke’e Beach: At the end of the road on Kauai’s north shore, Ke’e Beach is a beautiful spot for snorkeling. The beach is surrounded by reefs, and on calm days, the water is clear with lots of marine life. Just be aware that parking can be limited.

Be sure to check local conditions before snorkeling, as tides and waves can vary by season. Enjoy exploring Kauai’s underwater world!
